Our Denture Services in Savannah and Pooler

Dentures are more than just a replacement for missing teeth; they are a pathway to restoring your self-esteem and improving your quality of life. At Miller Dental Group, we offer a range of denture services, including complete dentures for those missing all their teeth, partial dentures for those with some natural teeth remaining, and custom dentures designed to fit your mouth perfectly. Our state-of-the-art facilities in Savannah and Pooler are equipped with the latest in dental technology to ensure that your dentures are not only functional but also comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

Types of Dentures We Offer:

  • Complete Dentures: For those who have lost all their teeth, complete dentures restore both function and aesthetics. Our complete dentures are designed to mimic the natural appearance of your gums and teeth, ensuring a natural-looking smile and a comfortable fit.

  • Partial Dentures: Ideal for patients who still have some natural teeth, partial dentures fill in the gaps and are carefully crafted to blend seamlessly with the existing teeth. They are anchored securely to prevent shifting and improve chewing and speech.

  • Custom Dentures: Tailored to the individual contours of your mouth, custom dentures provide the most natural look and feel. They are crafted using high-quality materials and state-of-the-art technology to ensure a perfect match with your facial structure and skin tone.

The Denture Fitting Process

  • Initial Consultation: Your journey begins with a thorough examination to assess your oral health and discuss your specific needs. This includes a review of your dental history, current dental health, and the aesthetic goals for your new dentures.

  • Impressions and Measurements: We take precise impressions and measurements of your mouth to ensure that your dentures fit comfortably and function correctly. This step is crucial for creating a denture that feels natural and provides optimal performance.

  • Trial Fittings: Before the final dentures are created, you will have trial fittings with temporary denture models. This stage allows us to make necessary adjustments and ensure that the fit, bite, and appearance meet your expectations.

  • Final Fitting and Adjustments: Once your custom dentures are ready, we will fit them and make any final adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. We pay close attention to the details of fit, function, and aesthetics to provide you with dentures that not only look great but also feel comfortable.

Living with Dentures

  • Adjustment Period: It's normal to experience an adjustment period as you get used to your new dentures. We provide guidance on how to adapt to speaking and eating with dentures and ensure they remain comfortable and functional.
  • Care and Maintenance: Proper care is essential to extend the life of your dentures. We educate our patients on how to clean and maintain their dentures, including nightly removal, cleaning with appropriate solutions, and storing them safely.

  • Regular Check-Ups: Periodic visits to our office are recommended to ensure the continued health of your oral tissues and the proper fit of your dentures. Over time, adjustments may be needed due to changes in your oral health or the wear and tear of the dentures.

What happens during the Denture or Partial procedure?

We start the denture process by taking impressions of both your gums and teeth. We then send these impressions to a local lab where your new appliance is created for you. You will come back in after roughly two weeks so that the denture can be placed. You will need to remove the denture nightly to keep it looking its best and to clean it properly. Most dentures are able to last for about seven years or longer depending on how well they are cared for during that time and how rough you are when wearing the prosthetic.

If you think you might benefit from a denture or partial, call us today and we can get you in for a convenient consultation.
